US Open Schedule

The US Open is the final Grand Slam event of the year and the second most-attended tennis tournament in the world (after Wimbledon). The tournament takes place at the USTA Billie Jean National Tennis Center in Flushing Meadows, Queens, New York City, and offers both men’s and women’s singles and doubles titles.

The 2025 US Open starts on Sunday, August 24 and ends on Sunday September 7. Reigning men’s and women’s champions Jannik Sinner and Aryna Sabalenka are both hoping to add another trophy to their collection at this year’s edition.

For fans, the US Open is one of the best events to see top players up close on the practice courts without fighting the crowds. You can watch free practice sessions during the qualifying tournament Monday August 18-Thursday August 23 and on the day before each main tournament session.

You can also visit the US Open grounds on Thursday for a free day of tennis with entry to the Ashe and Armstrong Stadiums, Grandstand, and Court 17 (free admission, bags check only outside the East Gate). The best tip is to ALWAYS first check the official Ticketmaster US Open site, especially on your computer/web browser (not the mobile app) before heading to the grounds. You can find any standard tickets still available (shown as “blue dots” on the detailed seat map for each session – most often in Promenade, but occasionally pop up in Loge and Courtside sections throughout the summer) and resale tickets as well.
