Follow the Action at the World Athletics Championship

World Athletics Championship

The World Athletics Championship is the world’s largest track and field competition, bringing together the best athletes in the sport to battle for a spot at the top of the podium. The biennial event is organized by World Athletics, formerly known as the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF), and features senior outdoor track and field events that can be held on any surface. The middle and long distances feature races that test an athlete’s ability to maintain a consistent pace over multiple laps while the sprints and hurdles highlight their speed and agility. Jumping events, including the high jump and triple jump, showcase an athlete’s ability to soar into the sky.

Athletes compete to win medals, but also to set the fastest times ever in their respective events. These are the moments that make this competition so compelling, with athletes pushed to their limits to see how far they can go. This is especially true in the decathlon and heptathlon, where competitors combine speed, strength, and endurance on a two-day bender of high performance that is only possible for superhumans.

In 2023, the World Athletics Championship will be hosted in Budapest. FloTrack subscribers will have access to all of the action from Hungary for the entirety of the nine-day event. We’ll take you behind the scenes for a look at how to follow the action in one of the most exciting competitions on the track and field calendar.
