US Open Schedule

The US Open kicks off Sunday August 24, and runs through Labor Day Weekend. This year’s tournament features a new expanded 15-day schedule, which allows for more matches and excitement to be played.

Jannik Sinner and Aryna Sabalenka are the defending champions of this Grand Slam, but they’re far from the only big name players expected to take part in New York. Carlos Alcaraz, Taylor Fritz, Ben Sherwood, Jack Draper, and Novak Djokovic are among those in the men’s draw. Meanwhile, Coco Gauff, Mirra Andreeva, Iga Swiatek, and Jessica Pegula will be vying for glory on the women’s side.

Aside from the main event, there’s a full slate of qualifying action to keep an eye on as well. The 128 best male and female players whose rankings fall just short of making the main draw will compete in a week-long qualifier that takes place Monday August 18 through Thursday August 21, the week before the US Open begins.

It’s always worth checking the official US Open website or app for a detailed daily schedule of play. This includes the start times and pairings for all of the matches taking place at Flushing Meadows, including the practice courts. And remember, delays are almost always a given at the Open (you can see a history of past delays here). So be prepared for a little uncertainty in terms of what time your favorite match will actually start on each day of the tournament.
